Essential Oils Class Overview

Posted on May 15, 2017 at 8:45 AM

My name is Paula Heath, and I have recently started helping Connie with her digital media.

We decided to give you an overview of what I learned at our Essential Oils class a couple of weeks ago.

I have been on a twenty year journey to not be like my parents were twenty years ago…(over medicated)! I have read, listened and invested in my health by using holistic, natural alternatives to western medications. Some days are easier than others on this journey. I have been using Essential Oils for about a year. Connie is so knowledgeable and the chance to spend an afternoon learning with her was something I couldn’t pass up.

The first thing I learned was that I underestimated the power of Essential (quintessential) Oils. You should be very informed about any oil you use, the properties it contains and the highest and best application method. If you are ever unsure, don’t guess or presume! Use your nose. If the scent is too intense, our body has a built in warning system. If you don’t care for the smell, avoid the oil. One of the first tools a person should have when using Essential Oils is a reference book that is good and complete and always ask someone at Wise Women Botanicals if you have a question!

Children, pregnant women and the elderly with existing health problems should consult a practitioner before using oils. Never ingest or apply topically without advice.

Another interesting fact about oils is that they can ignite! I was keeping my Peppermint EO in my car to use in my awesome car diffuser. DON’T! Each Essential Oil has a different flash point (think-ignite!)

You should never use a microwave to heat Essential Oils as this changes the properties of the oil. Heating in the microwave can cause the oil to reach its flash point in seconds!

And this one blew me away….each oil has it’s own frequency. Essential oils send out frequencies of energy attracting back more of that same energy. This is similar to how a radio works. Essential oils when utilized are like good energy batteries, regenerating themselves, delivering the energy on a deeper level, and are powerful enough to charge anything they are around with good, healthy energy and at the same time clearing out non beneficial energies. Additionally, they seek out the parts of your body that match their frequency, and are able to help that part of the body heal.

The rest of the class was spent discussing individual oils and their history. There was a great mix of newbies and long time oil users, so the feedback and discussion was quite helpful! Watch Facebook for the next oils class, and make it a priority to come and learn something new. Plus, you get to meet some really nice people!

Until next time,

Miranda Lambert is my favourite US contry singer. She is young, beautiful and charming female in her 30s. Her strong voice takes me away from all troubles of this planet and I start enjoy my life and listen songs created by her. Now the singer is on a Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour started in September of 2019 featuring Maren Morris, Ashley McBride and others. The concerts scheduled for this year, up to the end of November. Tickets are available for all men and women with different income. If you love country music as mush as I, then you must visit at least one of her concert. All tour dates are available at the mirandalambertconcertdates. Visit the website and make yourself familiar with all Miranda Lambert concerts in 2020!
